I am a country dog. I have a fancy name..but really could also answer to something along the lines of "Bubba" or "Jethro". I love living in the country. There are SO MANY good smells. My favorite is horse manure. That stuff is to dogs what Godiva chocolate is to my human mom. Good stuff.
I love how there are so many places to DIG and get DIRTY! And so many critters to chase. I chased a squirrel up a tree and had it on point for HOURS one day. So much fun.
At night, I can hear the coyotes howling and yipping....and I love to bark at them.
Mom says life on the farm is never boring.
She makes me stay in the house while she's gone to work...by myself..and she brings me these store-bought marrow bones...fresh from the butcher. I keep finding my own cool stuff to chew on, but she takes it away! Just yesterday, I had a fresh Peter Cottontail bunny..He was quite tasty to chew on...and soft and furry...and cute..before I broke his neck...but Mom got mad and told me to "leave it" and then threw my bunny in THE TRASH!
So this morning, I found a tasty deer leg...not as fresh as the bunny, but still quite good. Same thing happened! I don't know why she won't let me naw on a deer leg all day.
Something about my "sensitive stomach" and not wanting to clean up several pounds of runny poo.... oh dog! I guess I should be grateful for the store-bought "sanitary" bone she gave me this morning. Gotta get back to chewin' on it.
